Thank you for reading, and sorry if there are too many grammatical mistakes, I'm not a native english speaker. Lenovo Ideapad Flex 5 keyboard stopped working. sometimes it also activates in a specific angle when I flip the lid over to use it as a tablet. ![]() I suspect that it's the lid position sensor, because sometimes, when I close the laptop, the keyboard get's activated, which is signalled by a symbol that appears on screen. When I open the device the keyboard should be usable, which obviously isn't the case. That wasn't a big deal, I sent it to Lenovo's support, they replaced the chip and I could use the device as it was intended.Ībout two months later it started again, but without the shutting down thing. If you want to know more, or if you have a specific solution for this specific problem, here you go:Ībout half a year ago I had the same problem, except the sensor that deactivates the screen if the lid is closed was broken too, which meant that the device always booted up and shut down repeatedly nonstop when the lid was closed. Is there a way to keep it always unlocked? I'm using an Ideapad Flex 5, whose lid sensor is apparently broken, which means that the keyboard is always locked.
